Assignment 5

I think that wikis are very useful in a classroom setting. They can be used for many reasons, they can get the parents involved or just make learning a little bit better for the students. In my classroom, I could use a wiki to get my parents involved and let them see what their children are doing everyday day. Since I am going to be a Special Education major the wiki could be very useful for my students who are just a little behind. They could play phonics games, math games, or another useful software that could help them increase that skill.

assignment 6

I played the game Blood Typing on nobelprize.org and it was actually a very fun game. I used this game in my BY 109 class last semster. It helps you learn the blood types by trying them out on people who are in need of a tranfusion. Although is was used in a college course it could easily be used in a 5th grade classroom. The instuctions are very easy to follow and it keeps you attention the whole because you have rushing to save someone's life. Also the website, nobelprize.org, had a lot more games that would be useful to help students learn. I would use this website in the future.
